He signed a one year deal with SKA. He's not coming back. ESPN fail.

That's outdated, too - he signed with SKA on the 17th.

Edit: Might've been the 18th, actually. That seems to be when it was reported. No money info yet, but it's a one-year deal

I find it funny in that article it says he would return to the Islanders, or they desperately wanted him back, so basically, he would be robbing the Islanders, they bought him out and are paying him 2.204 Million until the end of the 13/14 season.

Sign a contract with them, and earn the buy out money, or would they be forced to just pay out the rest of his old contract?

Is there anything in the rules about that or does he get both a contract and buyout money.
