Umm... One major question for Dion Phaneuf, Captain of the Leafs.

Right now, with their roster being what it is, they will have to SERIOUSLY consider moving Kaberle to wing. That's how unbalanced their team is. They literally only have one forward with 70 point potential.

To be fair, Kessel made a 30 goal season basically by himself.


His release is pure venom, he's got that wicked torque and he can release it at top speed. Very dangerous sniper, he's no joke, but like I said he's their only real 70 point guy. Maybe there's a couple of others with decent potential but my goodness, they're throwing around 3 million a year on Colby Armstrong? I would be livid if my GM did that.

How about stick to the cliches, talk about how strong their division is going to be, and pump your teammates tires with nice compliments. or better yet, say nothing and make the playoffs through action. Nobody needs to blow a trumpet in Toronto to get people excited about hockey. If this was a Panther or a Thrasher making bold boasts I would agree with you, but this is just piety narcissism.

But the cliche is that every team has a great group of talented guys in the locker room. That if they all put in a full effort each game, they are a playoff team.

And a link would be pretty awesome. I'd like to see some context on this quote, or at least what spurred this comment.

thats what a good leader does. the more you sell yourself on the idea you can do it, the more you believe it and act on it. i hope for his sake they compete. but not much beyond that.
