They shouldn't get to choose which draft they forfeit the picks. Even still, they should have to decide BEFORE the season begins. That way, they won't know for sure if the draft class is strong/weak. Other than that, it serves 'em right..

That is a bit harsh, but the league needed to do something about these deals.

They aren't penalized a first and third round pick, they're penalized the third round pick and their next four first round picks.

Differs from what I read earlier on numerous sites. My bad. That it's a first round pick sometime over the next four years makes it schiesty.

They amended the CBA. The problem should have been resolved then and there. There was no reason to penalize anybody.
