Yes, I know preseason isn't even over, but we saw these teams last year, FA is pretty much gone, and we know enough, so what are your predictions then? Here are my terrible ones: Eastern Conference: 1. Washington Capitals 2. Buffalo Sabres 3. Pittsburgh Penguins 4. Philadelphia Flyers 5. Boston Bruins 6. Ottawa Senators 7. Tampa Bay Bolts 8. Carolina Hurricanes 9. New Jersey Devils 10. Montreal Candiens 11. New York Rangers 12. Toronto Make Beliefs 13. Atlanta Thrashers 14. Florida Panthers 15. New York Islanders Western Conference: 1. San Jose Sharks 2. Chicago Blackhawks 3. Vancouver Canucks 4. Los Angeles Kings 5. Detroit Redwings 6. Phoenix Coyotes 7. Colorado Avalanche 8. Nashville Predators 9. Calgary Flames 10. Dallas Stars 11. Columbus Bluejackets 12. Anaheim Ducks 13. Minnesota Wild 14. St. Louis Blues 15. Edmonton Oilers |

The only thing I strongly disagree with is New Jersey. I think they will compete with Pittsburgh to win the division, and you have them out of the playoffs. They will be just as good as last year. |

I only said that as Broduer is really slowing down, yes they did have the lowest Goal Against last year as a team still, but I'm not so sure he has much left in him. I think Philly is much stronger then people are anticipating, they might have made the playoffs on a measly shootout win, but stability in goal will do wonders for them, well as long as they don't have a shit ton of injuries. I did forget Kovalchuk was with Jersey too for a bit. |

Yeah seriously when the hell will Broduer be bad? Come on. Every year we say "he's not going to be good. He's too old". He defies the laws of physics! (Just like NHL 11 online.) |

And Carolina's way too high. Unless Eric Staal carries the team ala Ovechkin 2007-2008. |

Here are mine East 1. Pittsburgh - Fleury rebounds and they have nice depth on defense 2. Boston - Rask takes them to this spot 3. Washington - very weak division, will most likely get beat in the first round unless they get a goalie 4. Buffalo - Ryan Miller 5. New Jersey - lots of depth on d but lacking scoring other than Kovie and Parise 6. Tampa - addition of Simon Gagne helps out and Stmakos will have a huge year 7. Montreal - loss of halak is going to kill them but if Mike Camalarri shows up like he did in the playoffs they will get in 8. Philly - still not really sold on Leighton and the loss of Gagne is going to hurt 9. Atlanta - Chicago's may put them in but they might face the cup hangover 10. Ottawa - loss of Volchenkov is going to really hurt this douchebag organization 11. NY Islanders - will show improvement but not enough to get in the playoffs 12. Carolina - hill billy south gets another taste of rookies again 13. Florida - Voukoun is the only reason they will not be dead last 14. Toronto - I don't care if they might have improved this team but they lack at forward so much it not even funny 15. NY Rangers - Gabourik is all this team has and when your behind Toronto your GM should be fired West 1. LA - this could be finally there year 2. Chicago - core players are still together 3. Vancouver - very weak division 4. Phoenix - last year was no fluke, they actually look better than last year 5. San Jose - no real change except in net 6. Detroit - team is still good but old age might hurt this team 7. St. Louis - Halak is a huge but they still lack forward depth 8. Colorado - year 2 of youth movement 9. Nashville - loss of Hamhuis is going to hurt this cheap team 10. Dallas - Turco not hear probably means they miss 11. Anaheim - rebuilding is good for this team, could surprise teams 12. Columbus - Rick Nash finally asks if he can get out of hear 13. Calgary - Slow and old and along with Rick Nash, Iggy finally gets out of this mess that the Sutters have created 14. Edmonton - Hall would need to play every position for them to even have a shot of making it 15. Minnesota - boring ass team that is just reeling Don't make fun of this, this took me half an hour to come up with |

They could win the conference but they could also really suck with lots of questions |

I don't agree, because Carolina played exceptionally well the second half of the year, you seem to forget they were in the running for the final playoff spot with like 5-10 games remaining, but would have had to win out. Had they not started the year so badly, they would have been 7th or 8th last year easily. One of the hottest teams after the Olympic break. St Louis, well I never seen them play so I sorta forgot about them really, I also totally forgot they had Halak, if that's the case, they compete for a playoff spot easily then. Obviously anyone can make predictions about it too. |

If Carey Price doesn't work out in Montreal, the goal-tending situation could get ugly. |
