They've made many changes under Brian Burke and Ron Wilson. Are those changes finally paying off?

Granted, it's only been preseason and a couple reg season games, but they really actually look like they may finally be getting their shit together----so much so that Sabre fans might actually consider buying those platinum tix when Toronto is in town.

Normally I would agree with you, but it's not silly to try and predict a much better season for a team that has made many positive personnel adjustments.

MY PREDICTION: Toronto will not completely SUCK this season.

I'd agree. They're moving in the right direction, although I still don't expect them to be a playoff team.

I doubt starting the season 2-0 is the right direction. That is a step in the wrong direction for the Maple Leafs. Hopefully, their true right direction will be in effect when we pound them 11/6.

Compared to last year (if I were a Leaf fan) I would be looking forward to a better season, and I do think they have added enough pieces to be a good team. Playoff team? Dunno. Cup contender? No fucking way.

Seriously though, the fact that this team is not for real is indicated by having Clarke MacArthur with 5 goals. They'll still be struggling for the #8 seed at the end of the year.
