They are currently in 1st place in the East and are on pace to finish with 164 points, which I dare say, would win them the President's Trophy. All kidding aside...... They've made many changes under Brian Burke and Ron Wilson. Are those changes finally paying off? Granted, it's only been preseason and a couple reg season games, but they really actually look like they may finally be getting their shit together----so much so that Sabre fans might actually consider buying those platinum tix when Toronto is in town. |

Compared to last year (if I were a Leaf fan) I would be looking forward to a better season, and I do think they have added enough pieces to be a good team. Playoff team? Dunno. Cup contender? No fucking way. |

Seriously though, the fact that this team is not for real is indicated by having Clarke MacArthur with 5 goals. They'll still be struggling for the #8 seed at the end of the year. |
