No thread? Busters.

Sutter looks like a 1930's mobster. Brickley needs to STFU. And go Flames go.

Ya know, when I first seen them, I hated the Flames sweaters. But god damn they look nice out there! Also, considering that the Habs wore like 127 different jerseys over the course of a 2 year celebration of their 100 years of existence, you’d think they would have dug out at least ONE of them uniform sets to wear for this game. Altering the numbers on their regular sweaters and adding the HC patch, to me, is a fail.

At least the Flames were creative.

I was hoping for the barber pole sweaters with the canvas colored gloves and pants. Those on the ice with the Flames unis would be pretty impressive. So would've the sweater with the CAC in the maple leaf.

Agreed. I will give props to Price though on his mask. His impression of Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface) by wearing Jaques Plante's eyes, mouth and mask, over top of his own face is creepy, but yet cool at the same time.

OH GOD THAT'S PERFECT!

Price, btw, is why the Flames aren't winning 10-0 right now - he's got 19 saves in that period alone and had some sterling saves in tight

Don Cherry holding up a classic Regina Pats jersey. Very nice sweater!

Also, Don Cherry changed his suit & tie. Looks like he's sponsoring Yellow Cab. lol

Those jerseys are such a monstrosity.

I don't get Versus on campus. Glad the NHL is promoting their product by putting this game on a channel half the country doesn't get.

Those sweaters are hella awesome! But the one Grapes was holding has "Pats" In cursive writing on the front, blue shoulders, "Vintage" white body with the WHL patch on the front right shoulder. Blue striping on the arms and bottom waist, I believe.

I think it also had a Habs patch on the right shoulder? WTH?

No one else was willing to carry this game? That's surprising.

Not in the United States. Their options were NBC and Versus. NBC didn't see fit to broadcast but Versus jumped on it, so here we are.

Babchuk just popped home a SHG and it's 2-0 Flames.

Bourque makes it 3-0 off a backhand tap tucked 5 hole.

Anyone else notice that there is a section of the boards in the Calgary end that are actually broken? First period one of the Flames took a Hab into the corner and the ice level camera picked up a panel gave way.

Kinda dangerous but very reminiscent to Larry Robinson's hit against the Philadelphia Flyers Gary Dornhoefer…

Tanguay makes it 4-0 a few minutes ago on a PP goal.

And the handshake. See, Penguins? This is called having class and sportsmanship. But for a team that has players like Cooke, I shouldn't expect it from them anyway.

I thought this game had more of a pond hockey feel to it as opposed to the WC's from years past.

Over all, I'd say it was a hit!

The flow of this game was pretty close to BUF/PIT in the first period but mostly felt like DET/CHI. I loved it.
