Hey guys, what do you think of Michael Grabner this season? 2010-2011 statistics so far... 50 GP, 27 P (19 G, 8 A), +6 on a shitty Islanders team seems to be pretty good... I know he won't be an option for the Sabres due to the fact that we have enough small, speedy players but in general what's your take on him? |

I like him (obviously I like my countrymen The Sabres could need another sniper aside from Vanek and Stafford but he lacks of physical play and the Sabres don't need another lightweight. |

Those of you who hate Vanek, would disdain Grabner as well. Very similar players, Grabner isn't as talented, but he's what you'd call a poor man's Vanek. Good finisher, likes to shoot, decent speed, some creativity. |

There are probably not many Vanek haters on a Sabres board Vanek has way better hands than Grabner and a bigger body. I don't think Grabner has much creativity but with his speed and his shot he can do some harm. |

I'd love to see us pull the Trigger on Grabner; he's the perfect RW to play with Ennis and Byron or Stafford and Connolly. Plus if I remember correctly he's also capable of playing center, which makes him even more valuable to Buffalo. If this happened, I'd be thrilled, but just giving people fair warning about the kid, his game is extremely similar to Vanek and other natural goal scorers. |

He's really speedy, that's what I like about him. I'd say if we could get him, get him. But the Isles wouldn't part with him. |

Yeah he's a keeper for sure, and yes his speed is exceptional. But he's got heart too, he got blown up by Orpik and did not GAF. He drives the net and plays a solid game of hockey. The Isle are going to be good someday..... |

Missed a penalty shot, too. He may be the hottest player in the league(not!!! Drew Stafford!!!). He was waived by FLA. Haha. |

Grabner will be good. As much as I like to have another right winger besides Stafford and Pominville, we need to bring closure to our center situation. |

Ah I was wrong, people said he had a hat trick but when I checked the box score, he only had two. |

A lot of Canucks fans whine that they traded Grabner which is funny considering they are first in the league. I guess they think they could have kept him and still aquire Ballard because Florida waived Grabner. Sucks to be Florida GM right now. Can't imagine the riot if Darcy would have made such move. Thank god nobody cares about the panthers. |

I like Grabner. Only part of yesterday I didn't like was that he had his hat against the Sabres. He's blazing fast and has a wicked shot. Kid is just plain good. |
