Good pickup for Tampa. They could be a force to be reckoned with in the post-season. |

Wow, I don't remember teams being so active before the deadline like this before. |

I wouldn't have minded getting Brewer. Books kid will most likely be an NHL'er, so not an awful trade. Still think TB won this one. |

Unfortunately what they are doing, is driving up the value of some of the trash around the league, and making stars like Richards, Iginla, etc virtually impossible to trade due to the high asking price. Examples being: Kaberle for a 1st and solid prospect (in my mind should have been a solid prospect and a 3rd) Fisher for a 1st and potentially 3rd Kelly for a 2nd (how the fuck is 30 points worth a 2nd round pick?) Brewer for a Solid Prospect (Brock Beukeboom) and a 2nd (basically fetched a high 2nd and high 3rd.) To put it in perspective, Brian Campbell if he were being moved at the deadline would have brought way more than Kaberle; think something like a 1st, 2nd, Prospect, Veteran 4th liner. Very expensive to be a buyer this year...and the Rangers haven't even done anything retarded yet. |

Timmy for a first, player, prospect Rivet for a first and prospect Stafford for first and Stamkos.... lol... ok im done... |

Connolly would probably fetch a 1st, or a 2nd and a prospect. Montador would probably fetch a 2nd. None of our other UFAs would fetch a stick. |

My mom works at a hotel downtown and told me when she was checking out the Blues today, they learned about Brewer getting traded. After the game they flew out, but left Brewer behind. He had to check out by himself without the team... Harsh, man. |
