Here's the thing I'm worried about...if he really did cough up a WAD of bills, he needs to be suspended. If he really only lost a SINGLE five dollar bill, fine him. |

No way he gave the guy back a 'wad of bills'. Not a chance he has cash on the bench, and no way he went back into the locker room to get it. He signed the $5 bill he got, gave that same one back. That's it. All in good fun. |

Could have, but Turco knows about the gambling rules. I personally find it unlikely he'd bring someone else into it if he was doing it. I think that 'wad of $5's' is just hyperbole from the fan. I could be wrong, but that just makes the most sense to me. |

i hope you are right, tom. this sounds like innocent fun with a fan, and if punished, this could drive the wedge between fan and player even deeper. |

I agree that the wad of bills is stupid unlikely, but ya know, gotta investigate it anyways and all that. Me, I love Turco and his sense of humor, so I'm loving this. I'd frame that five dollar bill if I was that Habs fan. |

I'm sure the NHL will look into it. If they find he did something more, shame on him. My gut just says that they won't find anything. Just a hunch, that's all. |

No I agree. If Dreger is reporting that the only money exchanged was the original 5 spot (which he is), it's good enough for me. |

Hahahaha that is just awesome. I love that he wrote "Turco Rules" instead of "Blackhawks Rule" or something like that. Marty does indeed...rule. |

Funny as hell as this is, isn't this considered illegal? Defacing currency? I guess it doesn't matter, really. Our money isn't real anyway lol. |

The original bet was about 5 bucks. The fan gave Turco 5 to 1 on the second bet. Turco lost and owed him 5 bucks. It doesn't make sense that he would give him more. EDIT: Btw, I think it's hilarious and they shouldn't fine Turco since it was only about 5 bucks. |

The fan said to make it 5 to 1 that Chicago doesn't score. It's pretty clearly obvious Turco lost 25 bucks on that bet. |
