Nasty hit. Sure a video will be up soon. Seabrook didn't get hurt, and it was only a minor penalty, but I bet the league will look at it. |

And the Blackhawks just scored to tie the game at 2 on the power play. |

Saw it happen live. At first, I'm shockedhe only got 2 min. Waiting for the replay but you'd think in his first game back for a similar hit and his first charging call of the night, that he would know better. Seabrook is in the quiet room now, may not return all things depending. Hope Seabs is ok, Torres is a fucking idiot. I've never liked him. |

Honestly Pat, I've just never liked him. From his days as an Oiler to now. Just something about the guy I just can't get behind. ya know when there is that player you just have a hate on? For me, he is one of them. Side note, good to see Seabs is back on the ice. He must have passed the tests in the quiet room. |

watching it, i see why a penalty was called, but he hit seabrook in the chest and had his arms tucked. i don't know what the exact wording of the rule is, but i'd be surprised if he was suspended. |

I'm likely wrong, but I thought that one was before the hit behind the net... Oh well, either or. As for the hit, I'm not going to pretend to know the wording is behind the rule, but I thought it was something about taking liberties on an unsuspecting player or something. Anyone want to break out the rule book on this one? Wow, I used the word "Just" alot in my statement above, |

He'll get 5 for that at least. No different than the hit on Eberle really. Arms were down, but shoulder caught him right in the dome. That's the definition of the blindside/lateral hit to the head.Textbook rule 48. Should have been 5 and a game. If Torres stays low, it's shoulder to shoulder and all set. He popped up and half jumped into the hit. Can't do that. |

i'll bet he doesn't get suspended. worth the penalty but i don't see supplemental discipline. i think the initial contact was with the body and the head was secondary. if you want to call that lateral contact with the head, well, that will be on every hit, especially open ice. it's elementary physics. |

Meh. Not worth an argument. Clear blindside headshot to me. Like I said, if he stays low, it's shoulder to shoulder and he wrecks him clean. He pops up at the last second, shoulder to head, rule 48. But they'll never do that in the playoffs, because the NHL isn't really serious about headshots. |

I couldn't tell what happened with those angles. Looked like the elbow was up and the hit was high, but I didn't see enough to make that call. Dangerous either way. |

I'm glad the elbow was down. Made it easier for the shoulder to have clean contact. |

yeah, if the elbow was up, i'd have been screaming for his head too, because seabrook probably would have been in a coma. it's a good thing torres isn't a dirty player, because if he was, there would be some serious injuries attached to his name. |

I agree. A hard hit, penalty worthy but not suspendable IMO. |
