I really really like this. It's not Colin Campbell that's for sure...it's also not just a couple of lines in a press release. He stands up, shows the video evidence, cites the rule that was broken and explains mitigating factors in his final decision. I like it too. However a preseason game hit by a no-name player is pretty easy to make a suspension on IMO. Let's see what happens when it's a hit by Chara or Pronger during a playoff run. |

All Shanny has to do is keep these videos on file and eventually just go back to them for reference in order to hand out consistent discipline, and then consider any aggravating/mitigating factors. It really shouldn't be hard to be fair as long has you're actually trying. |

You throw the suspensions out in preseason, it'll make players think twice before they do something in the regular season. |
