There's a reason why I cite Fenwick/Corsi and puck possession as indicators of a team's success.

I don't need a chart to know that you win more games if you can take more shots than your opponent when the game is close.
It's a nice chart that makes a very obvious point.

Next chart will show the Gretzky fact:"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"

Obviously, but you're one of the few that get it. Lot's of people dismiss stuff like this. The advanced stats tell the story. That's not to discourage from watching the game, but it's the greatest predictor of teams that will win.

I wish we had Fenwicks of the teams from before 2007-08. I want to know how good those post-lockout teams were in puck possession.
