How many players on the ice are dicks? I can choose players who aren't. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Pomminville, HELL, Toews, his linemate... To choose Kane, who off the ice is a dick, he deserves jack shit in that category.

The Hart Trophy description should be as follows:

"The Hart Trophy is awarded to the player judged to be most valuable to his team during the last month of the season. All other parts of the season are irrelevant and will be completely discounted."

Right, I'm just saying that the award has zero to do with a player's off-ice demeanor.

But it should come into effect since you essentially have a tie breaker with on ice demeanor.

I understand where you're all coming from, but the league metric for who wins the Lady Byng seems to be:

Points - Penalty Minutes = Lady Byng Score.

Whoever has the highest score based off that metric wins. It's possibly one of the dumbest awards the NHL has next to GM of the Year.

We all know Brian Burke should win GM of the Year. Because without him the Leafs still suck, even though he was fired this year.

It's still a dumb award. "Which team performed the best based on how it was put together on paper and then meshed together well enough on the ice to make that guy look good?"
