Only a few games being played tonight. The early game (starting at 5pm, weird) is Lightening vs the Flyers. The Flyers are currently kicking the bolts ass 5-1 (at least Tampa scored). Make that 6-1 since the flyers just scored on the PP

The Islanders play the Oilers and watching the pre-game, the Islanders are really talking up their win against the Sabres

The late game is the Kings and Coyotes

Enjoy a light night of hockey everyone

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I wrote the same thing about them at the end of last Wednesday's GDT and no one listened :(

NHL was boring today. I have no clue why there was no VS game. Don't they have some sort of contract to air a game every Monday and Tuesday? What was that 5:00 p.m. EST game all about? It's not like today was a Holiday or something

That was weird. Did they not want to compete with MFN and the World Series or something?

I take that back. LA just tied it up VS Phoenix 3-3 with 12 minutes left in the third. This is a tough one for me. I like both teams... Have to go with the Yotes because Schony was their Coach in the late 90's ;)

You've inspired me to turn on the TV again.

I've said the same thin the first time we played them.

They just weren't finding the opportunities to score. They have gelled way more and have a solid goaltender in Biron to help win games, unless Rolo is being switched out every other game with Biron.

The Isles just needed to find that spark and start generating more chances, which they have done, and with solid goaltending helping, they are a surprise team in the East.

they may not make it into the playoffs or past a first round, but they will upset some teams who are expected to win against them this year.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.
