He's from Pittsburgh, and my first girlfriend (this takes me way back, I was 13 then!) was so into his band Poison that she talked about them all the time and listened to them all the time. Well maybe not ALL the time, but you get the idea. I liked their song "Talk Dirty to Me" but that's about it. "Every Rose has it's Thorn" was played non-stop, it's actually not a bad little tune but I got sick of hearing it REALLY fast. If I remember correctly, they were pretty much the last successful glamour band before the Alternative Rock scene exploded. Unless you count Guns and Roses, but I think GnR actually had some enduring talent and they didn't need to wear heavy make up to get girls to buy their albums. Early on I think they did anyways.

They opened for Def Leopard in Pittsburgh last summer, I went with my sister and 10 (yes TEN) of her friends. I liked my chances that night. We actually tailgated through Cheap Tricks set, which was the only band I really wanted to see! Poison played, and the girls loved them but I couldn't get into it. This one girl, heavily intoxicated and with a mole so big it could have had it's own heart beat. Kept grabbing me and asking me, "Why aren't you dancing!?". It actually turned out to be a pretty bad night.
