Wow - you even offended me there. So you've got a drawl, a straw hat, overalls, a flannel shirt and love NASCAR because you're a redneck?

Wow, like I really meant it?

Can't ever look into something and maybe think it's not serious?

A "/sarcasm" tag goes a long way.

I'm full of sarcasm, shouldn't need to even use it.

It's like the whole Women spelled backwards is kitchen and such type of jokes.

I have nothing wrong with her wanting publicity for being an actress and such. I know if I was trying to land roles you do almost anything to get your name out there.

I guess hockey is the new "thing" in Hollywood. You know you made it when you meet Ryan Gosling

So what has been his quintessential Hollywood moment? "I went to a party with Noureen," he says, "and found myself talking with this guy for an hour and didn't realize I was speaking with Ryan Gosling until about an hour into the conversation."

I think after teh Olympics, we should kidnap her and leave a ransom note that we'll release her after the playoffs....assuming he does as well as he's doing during the olympics. Otherwise, we just toss her over the falls. Without a barrel.

Personally, I think she's weird looking. And the eyebrows? If they ever had a baby, it would look like this kid:

I love him having a squeeze. I just hope she doesn't get designs on dragging his happy ass out to LA and trying to convince him to want to leave Buffalo. I know he 'can't' but if she so much as breathes..."Ryan, I want you to play for the Kings....or the Sharks...or the Ducks...", I will personally hold her down while Adam breaks her legs and help him toss her over the falls. It will look like an accident.... ;)

She just better not distract him from his day job with those Hollywood Nights...that's my only concern. Although, I think he's more worthy of Megan Fox...this girl is a flake.

Guys, I don't think we have to worry about Ryan moving to LA and trying to become a celebrity all because he is dating an actress. Whatever your opinion may be on his new lady friend, we still have to remember what a smart guy he is and his loyalty to Buffalo and the Sabres. Miller isn't an idiot, and he's not going to all of a sudden demand a trade to a California hockey team all because his girlfriend lives out there. He's the defintion of a professional, and I don't think him getting a little taste of Hollywood is going to change that.

Personally I am getting a kick out of all this attention he is getting. Getting interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, appearing in tabloids, it's just really funny to me because he is the last guy you would expect to see getting this kind of attention. It's funny for Buffalonians because he's been a celebrity here for a while now, but now that the whole world is watching him, more people want a piece of him and a peek into his private life.

I think he's handling it very well, which shouldn't surprise anyone because he has always been such a class act. I think he appreciates his privacy and never wanted to live the "Hollywood life", but he is acknowledging the attention that the Olympics is bringing him and he's doing it gracefully.

Here is a really good read from Pucky Daddy about how Ryan is handling all the media attention:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d ... nhl,224506

If anything, it's refreshing to see Miller getting all this attention other than Crosby. He's a good representative of hockey; modest, hardworking, professional, and smart. And that fact that he's American could go a long way.

A few weeks after the Olympics have wrapped up, I don't think we'll have to worry about paparazzi chasing him in Wegmans or him grazing the coveres of tabloids exploiting his romantic life. All this national attention may be short lived, so I think we should enjoy the fact that the rest of the world is getting a chance to appreciate Ryan Miller too.

Sorry this is kind of a long-winded post, and it wasn't really directed toward anyone in this thread (I know most people were just joking around), it's just that I've read and heard other people talking about Miller's recent celebrity and people are concerned he's going to want to go all "Hollywood" on us and maybe lose focus on the Sabres. I just don't think that's going to be the case. We Buffalonians know Ryan is better than that. :)

This..

And I know he really won't move to Hollywood, but you see it too many times when a man get lead around by his 'tenders' (as my son call it). Look what happened to Gretzky!

Gretzky was a whole different ball game.

When he found out of the trade he decided to go to Hollywood just because of his girlfriend was an actress, so he decided to go ahead and live there also since it would be perfect for his family.

It's not like Gretzky wasn't scoring more then a 1.5 PPG when he was in LA or anything.

He's not going anywhere. He is just having a good time with an actress who isn't that huge of a celeb right now. If it wasn't for the Olympics, this wouldn't even be news. I kinda like how celebs are taking to hockey in the last few years which gives the sport more exposure in the US :handgestures-thumbupleft:
