It's too bad Johnny Storm and Steve Rogers are both in the Marvelverse, cuz he was awesome in FF and will probably be good in CA:FA.

I thought Chris Evans did a good job with the Johnny Storm but I cant see him as Captain America, probably because Im used to him as The Human Torch

the captain america costume bothers me. while i was fully expecting to have something more modern looking and non-spandex, i wasnt expecting shoulder guards/pads, multi plated clothing and the like.

i think they could have kept the traditional costume (with the fish scale top) and tweeked that a bit. like make the top similar to the dragon skin body armor that the miliary is using now or something similar. a straight up copy of the Ultimates costume would have worked too. I just hope that for the WWII costume they steal the Ultimates one because its pretty bad ass.

the thundercats picture, while it looks great, looks a lot like fan art.

I think the scale top is entirely unrealistic. I like how this looks, honestly.

Regarding the Thundercats pic, it is definitely the promotional art for the new cartoon.

I saw that yesterday, and I have mixed feelings. It's obviously digitally-produced, so I reserve full judgement until I see the physical suit itself. That being said, ugh. The scale arms and bracers I like, and I dig the torso armor, but the pants and boots are ish. And Mjollnir is too small. Sure, it's faithful to the oldest books, but I was hoping for the Ultimates version in a bad way.

Also, this film is supposed to take place mostly in Asgard or viking times, so why doesn't he look more traditional. IMO, the Cap suit is a home run, while this has much to be desired.

Jeremy Renner is almost finalized to play Hawkeye in The Avengers. Nathan Fillion is rumored to be playing Hank "Ant Man/Giant Man/whatever" Pym. Neal McDonough is rumored to be playing commander of the Howling Commandos and Cap's right hand man, "Dum Dum" Dugan.

ah, we have almost reversed opinions of the costumes although i do agree with you about Mjollnir, the Ultimates version would have been bad ass.

i will take your stance on waiting to reserve full judgment with the Cap costume (i really cant get over the shoulder pads) until i see a non CG image.

that bit about the thor movie being is Asgard i didnt know. where did you read that?

Renner playing Hawkeye is great. Fillion, meh, i dont know him well enough to have an opinion and McDonough scares me.

I'm most excited about Fillion and McDonough becoming a part of the Marvelverse. I was having a talk with a girl I know about casting Hawkeye and Hank Pym, and while I like the casting of Nathan Fillion as Pym, she would rather have him play Hawkeye and Alan Tudyk play Pym.
