I actually bought this on Elmwood near Spot Coffee at a place called Thin Ice. The chick was cute, she had dyed orange hair and the hoodie was $30.

That's cool. I went back today and bought an anklet. The live models at the Dress Shop are always fun...I always love the stuff in that store. Today my mom and I went into a bar called The Bend on Allen, then we stopped at a restaurant on Delaware called The Stillwater for dinner before I had to go into work. It was a solid way to spend a Sunday.

I can't believe I missed the art festival this year.

I tend to miss it a lot. I'm not a very artsy person by nature, and it seems that most of the stuff that I'd be interested in buying turns out to be WAAAAY more than I'm willing to pay for it.

I'm all for compensating an artist for their time, but sometimes......yeesh.

Yeah a lot of it was crazy. There were 5x7 prints that artists wanted $45 for. No thanks. I'm glad I found one so big that was only $10.

Someday I want to get into metalwork because I've always loved it and maybe sell things at art festivals.

Sooooomedaaaaaaay.

Yeah, sometimes I have to scratch my head at the prices artists come up with. I'll be sitting in a coffee shop and there will be a painting of like a bowl of fruit that looks like a high school project and it'll be selling for like $300...yeaaah no thanks.

The anklet I bought was $3 and it makes a jingling noise when you walk because it's the kind that bellydancers wear. :D

My friend Mandi does metalwork quite a bit. She sold a plate metal and chain giant squid for about three bills, and it's only 2'x2.5'
