I'd be pissed if something like this ever happened to me as a kid. But god damn this is one heck of a way to enforce a point, I like it!

That is awesome. And can still work out well for the daughter. What if someone she babysits for likes her, and decides to keep her around and pay her for it? That would be pretty nifty.

I know, eh!?

lol, Jesus when I messed up as a kid all the old man would do would be to take my hockey sticks and depending on the severity of the foul, he'd either just lock them up or cut them in two with the table saw. As pissed as I'd be, I think I'd sooner have a parent do that, as opposed to solicit my services for the greater good,

Side note; He came to realize later that he was paying double for the sticks when he'd cut them up and my mom would get me a new one for either my birthday or Christmas. He then resorted to just locking them up on me

The best part of this is that it works on every level.....

1. The father gets the point across to his daughter
2. He embarrasses her enough to make her not want to do this again WITHOUT shaming her
3. ....and most of all... I'm thinking this does a GREAT job of teaching her a lesson in the most honest way possible. Through hard work.

Way to go pops. Parent 1, Kid 0. I'm sure this guy's kids make fun of him for "not being up with the times" but nothing says "being up with the times" like finding an original way to embarrass you while getting his point across and most likely assuring that next time you're told to be home at 11.....you show up at 10:50.

If I was that daughter... I'd let the kids run wild and then the angry parents would blame her father for sending them a terrible babysitter.

Haha. We don;t really have any information on this story. And it comes out of texas, which automatically makes me skeptical.

She was probably 30 seconds late for her 3pm curfew, and the "late night parties" was probably one night she brought home a club soda and drank it by herself.
