I just got off the phone with customer service and I have to say that I am VERY frustrated. Simply put, $171.00 is way too steep for standard def broadcasting. Direct TV and other providers are showing up to 95% of the games in HD while you are showing less than 50% of them in HD (and I'm being generous to you). I spoke with various cable providers and the straight facts are that you are being provided the HD feeds but CHOOSING to be cheap and not broadcast them. This is unacceptable. I had Direct TV for the last three years and each season I had most games available in HD so why can't you as well? This is simply penny pinching on your part. I pay the EXACT same as Direct TV customers but receive less than half of the HD feeds. Is this fair? NO! If the amount of HD games available aren't increased you can bank on me cancelling my service at the soonest available opportunity. I am very disappointed that I fell for your "Better than DirecTV" and the "Most HD channels...blah blah blah" LIES that you advertised. I will be telling everyone here at the military base to go with your competitor when they go for cable service. Thanks for ripping me off.

The answer here is that if you want most games in HD and want to hear RJ instead of the other team's fag crew, go with DirecTV. They show about 90% of their games in HD and have a dual option where they broadcast both the home team and away team's announing crew. WAY better. I had them for the last three years and this is the first season with Dish Network. All I have to say is fuck Dish man. NHL hockey is so far down on their list of priorities that you are better off just saving your money. Add this on to increasing rates and decreasing channels and you get a big soft rubbery one. Fuck this company.

I literally can speak to the guys that can physically flip the switch in the head end. Can't wait until Monday when I walk in there and start reading them the riot act about integrity.

WTF...a few games on tonight, and NONE on the HD channels. It's like they're not making any attempt to supply us with an ounce more than they're contractually obligated to. Fuck time warner.

Same here with my employer Comcast, I called to bitch and they said to talk to my supervisor. Okay.

I already know they wont change anything, because they don't care about minority viewers. But I WILL get my money back.

I have recently spoken with a representative about the low number of HD games available through the NHL Center Ice Package. The NHL provides all available HD feeds to cable providers and it is then the decision of the providers as to which games and how many will be aired. Most games currently are filmed and provided in HD from the NHL but where as DirectTV and other providers choose to show nearly all of them, Dish is choosing to air an offensively few to their subscribers. While DirectTV shows not only all of the HD feeds but also shows alternate airings which broadcast home and away team coverage, Dish is choosing to show only one feed in SD for most games. I pay the same as your competitor's customers but am getting a fraction of the product, which I find intolerable. I feel you are taking advantage of the fine print and instead of providing a service that is enjoyable and meets the claims of you ads, you are choosing to offer a product which is cheap and only meets the contractual bare minimum.

When I asked if I would be charged the full price for the entire season if I were to cancel my subscription I was told that you consider sports packages to be pay per view events. Because of this I would have to pay for the entire season even though the league has only been playing for one month. If I were to cancel today I would have to pay for something that is going to played out until April.

I would like to request that the charges for the NHL Center Ice Package be reunded so I can cancel without further charge.

If I was home for the games I would get my money back and watch online but I need that DVR option. I plan to call each day and be a pest. Emails and letters too. I want to annoy them just as much as I'm annoyed by getting the bare minimum from them. I'm essentially getting a quarter of the coveragee that DirecTV customer are getting and I'm paying the same price.
