I dunno...the pictures I've seen of Paris render it to be a really beautiful city. And then, in terms of history and culture, you've got the Louvre, all the sites where parts of the revolution took place, and the Catacombs. I mean, seriously, there is an underground network of grave tunnels the size of Paris!

Myrtle Beach for me.
Only place where the bastards put me in jail. Obviously no sense of humor there.

The tragic part is what I didn't do. I had just graduated high school and I was walking down the strip with two girls from my high school. We were walking to their hotel room and I really liked my chances. Then a cop car went past and pulled in about 4 or 5 lots from us. I stopped to see what they were doing. It never occurred to me that they stopped because of me. Then again I was pretty drunk and stoned. Hey, it's Myrtle Beach! The problem was the beer I was carrying on the street, and that I was only 17. I guess the hash in my pocket didn't help.
All Myrtle Beach wanted was my money. $20 bucks for the open beer and $210 for the hash. I was released as soon as the paperwork was completed and never even saw where the jail cells were, and I wasn't required to go to court afterwards.
That's how Myrte Beach is. One other time I went down there with a bunch of other idiots. One guy passed out on the beach one afternoon, so we surrounded him with the empties. We even took an empty vodka bottle and poured water from the cooler into it and put it in his hand. We moved about 50 feet away and just killed ourselves laughing at people's reactions as they walked by. Then we literally called the cops and asked them how much the fine would be if the cops saw our friend. That was going to be something like $400 (this is a few years after my $230 fine). Naturally if we reported him we'd have to pay that tab. We decided it was just a bit too much. We may have done it if it was only $250!

NYC, has so much to do, and to only spend two days there is seeing nothing. I spent 7 day and saw very little of it, Being in Manhattan area it is a really awesome place, or trying to go inside Tiffany's or Gucci, or Prada on Madison Avenue is quite cool. millions of dollars is on one street there.

Wait, how does that make NYC overrated?

I never said it was overrated, I was commenting on CV's post about why it might not be. I actually liked NYC when I was there, not as busy as I thought, and I was there during Thanksgiving. And soooo much to do.

Irony, Prada actually has mens clothing. I mean it was only 2 grand for a button up shirt and $400 for a tie. I wanted to go into an exspensive store and see how ridiculous it would cost. Tiffany's had a watch for 17K and some necklaces and rings for well over 100 grand.

Walking down the Jewish section of town where hundreds of Jewelry stores are a ring I saw had a price tag of 120K.
