Possibly, but one other thing to think about is, why did evolution stop for? Human's have been around for 10,000 or more years. Why have we stopped at the beings we are right now, why haven't we evolved further? Why hasn't the thousand's of generations of humans had any slight evolution beside being taller?

How come animals aren't changing either. We've seen these same animals since the existence of mankind basically. Even with science, it is hard to say evolution ever happened, because it certainly would not have stopped like this. All those different cavemen "evolved" relatively quickly according to fossils we have found.

And modern science is very important, without it we would have no medicine and only living until our 30's once again. Modern science is much more than just evolution.

Evolution has slowed; definitely not stopped. If you did some research, you would see that it takes thousands, if not tens and hundreds of thousands of years to see a noticeable "evolution". For what it's worth though, there has been evolution from the humans of 10000 years ago to the humans today.

In response to the whole church vs state argument:
The US wasn't founded on Christianity....check out the Treaty of Tripoli (George Washington's words, mind you).

Skyline, as usual with folks of your ilk, i'm sorry I got involved in this 'debate' to begin with. Your questions show you as completely ignorant of evolution, and why would I bother having a debate with someone who doesnt even understand the nature of what is being debated? Seriously, do your own thinking/research, dont just spout what you heard your sunday school teacher say, because apparently they dont care how ignorant you sound to those of us with an education.
