Wrong. The UV light in sunshine is BAD for most microbes, bacteria included. We even use isolated UV rays to sterilize equipment used in cleanrooms, sterile medias, etc etc.
Agreed. Think about it. Put a soaking wet towel on the driveway on a hot summer day. Soon, it's DRY. Without H2O...well, it's hard to maintain cellular integrity.
Indeed. Although, to be fair...there are SOME photosynthetic bacteria which like the sun, but they're pretty rare, and most of them are anearobic, so they're killed by oxygen. In most cases sunshine = bad for bacteria.
