EDIT: Haha saw your post, and I had to.

If you visit the link I've posted below, you can choose from a selection of hand made cards by children, then fill in your name and home town.

You can choose a pre made message, or write one out yourself by choosing, "other."

The site runs a little slow because it is so busy, but please fill one out and make somebody's day.

Here's what some of the troops have to say about the program:

Quote:
To the folks of Let's Say Thanks,

First off let me say a personal thank you. I was out of the office when the package arrived and it was placed on my chair. Just to see a package waiting for me made my day! I speak on behalf of other Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that receiving a package stuffed with goodies is a great feeling - knowing that the folks back home are very appreciative and supporting of their defenders.

I myself have children ages 7 (girl) and 4 (boy) whom I miss so dearly! Seeing the artwork and the messages "praying and wishing for your safe return" that others write really brings a tear to my eye. It is very touching to know that the kids back home know why we are here defending our country and that they are very active in the supporting us.

Again, I would like to say thank you and keep doing what you are doing as many out here don't have family members to lean on.

Quote:
Thank you so much for the post card. It is so nice to receive things in the mail here. Some would not believe it but the simple good feeling of going to the company mail room and the clerk saying "Yes, you have mail" is an uplifting experience. Even if it’s just a letter saying "hi" makes our day! Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

I send one via this method every day ;)

I'm glad you posted it though. I feel like a broken record and don't want to come across that my "cause" has to be everyone else's just because it's mine.

Thanks Adam.

I updated my son last week and told him about the Cards for Soldiers contribution and that his little brothers class sent 25 hand made cards.
It broke my heart when my son said; "I wonder if I'll ever get one someday."

Please people. Send an internet card. It takes 5 minutes at most and means so much to these guys.

a serious question.
do you think they would be glad to get a card from me? is this only for people from the US?

I don't like war at all, but I think the soldiers deserve respect. They risk their life for avoiding the total chaos there.

I don't think it matters, any thanks is thanks man.

Do one, it shows them even non us citizens care for what they are doing.

Seriously!

If anything Yoshi, they might be even more appreciative, because they won't feel like they're up against the whole world.

Do one for sure. :)

Their intent is to protect the US and the free world. It might even be more meaningful for them to hear from you, our friend....
