Well, I'm scratching my head over my native language sometimes (especially when it comes to commas), so it's good to hear that this is a global phenomenon :)

When my diploma thesis was proofread the first time it looked like someone spilled red paint over it :)

Funny, I saw a savant on a German talk show learning German in two weeks (maybe he's a talk show hopper :) ). He talked really well and said he doesn't learn languages the usual way with rules and grammer etc. He learns the structure and logic of a language (whatever that means). He also mentioned that German was easier to learn than English because English is a tohubohu :)

Was his name Daniel?

If so, it's the same guy.

Whom is one of those words the English forefathers made up to piss us off. So much of the English language is retarded. If I grew up speaking another language, I wouldn't even try to speak English. Spanish, on the other hand, has it together. Very simple, yet effective.

whom likes pizza ? ----> must be wrong.

in german :
1.fall WER
2.fall WESSEN
3.fall WEM
4.fall WEN

in this case it's the first. WER -------> WHO

or am I wrong and WHO's right?

This is one of my favorite threads of all time. No sarcasm. I've always been really confused about this.
