My brother had me call him every time the score changed. I was on the phone a lot that night.

I've actually never heard of Ravena.

I lived in Kinderhook, in Columbia county. Some surrounding towns were Valatie, Niverville, Stuyvesant, Chatham, Hudson...

You think that's bad? I was alone in my apartment during that game. Only everything but the TV and a chair were gone because we were finishing up moving into our first house at the time!

No way in hell I was missing that game. No. Way. In. Hell. Best decision I ever made.

To me it was a tie between two games. First it was beating the Patriots 38-0 on opening day 2003 when Drew Bledsoe shoved it up Bill Bellechik's ass after the Patriots traded him to Buffalo. I don't think they beat the Pats since.

Then it was the game 6 overtime win against Carolina. The Sabres used all their guts to pull that one out and I vividly remember a badly injured Teppo Numminen trying to play in that game and gutting it out. They did all they could for each other and the fans. Then Danny scoring in OT and I remember the noise was so loud in there. I get goosebumps today thinking about it.

Ahhh memories.....

I remember watching that game at my friend's house with him and his dad. And we're all going, they just need a stupid lucky goal...

...and verily it came to pass...

Those two games were phenomenal.

The pure joy of winning Game 6 was crushed the morning of Game 7, when everyone found out that Jay McKee was in the hospital. I knew it was over then. :( Even still, when they were winning after two periods I was freaking out and thought I had been wrong.
