A friend of my girlfriend works at the arena, and hooked me up with a pass to an employee friends and family skate tomorrow night.

I know it sounds fruity, but I am so stoked to skate on the same ice as so many stellar hockey players have. Should be a great time, I'll take pics.

Put your foot in the crease and take a picture for the "No Goal" Picture. then Stand in the Crease like a Goalie and Be like I'm Miller or Hasek.

Then have someone lay on their back at the blueline and stand over them and be like I'M SOUPY AND I HIT YOU UMBERGER.

Some of my favs:


Visitor's locker room. That's where we were allowed to get our skates on.

Lots of folks there. This was about 20 minutes in, and it got much busier.


Just had a thought of RJ being up there going ape shit.

It was a really fun time. Ice was open for almost 2.5 hours, which was very cool. Got pretty crowded at times, and they didn't resurface until we were done, so the ice got REALLY shitty after a while. Nice spread of food, although I didn't eat much. Wanted to get as much time on the ice as possible.

Yea, Tom, you got to do something pretty incomparably cool. Only way it would be cooler is if you got to see the dressing room.

The view of the bottom of the Jumbotron is one of my favorites, just because I've never seen the bottom of it and never thought I would hah.
