In related news there are still people who spend 50 hours a week on games I stopped playing 6 years ago.
Everquest?
Seriously?

South Koreans treat StarCraft like a professional sport, so I'm not surprised some people still play EverCrack.

Hey, I'm an avid PC gamer, and I've played most of those games (mostly guild wars, city of heroes and everquest) so I won't ever bash fans for playing, but I usually play a game until I beat it or I lose interest then move on to the next one.
The thought of playing the same character in the same game for 5+ years makes no sense to me.

I mostly play to pass the time in the summer. I usually disable my account once NHL XXXX comes out; because well lets face it, 1900 games played last season, 1600 games played this season, and thats just online, god knows how many I have played in Be A Pro.

But I see both sides to the argument, but for me, it's a nice little pass time; I dont get all caught up in the "end game" content, and definitely dont get caught up in all the drama. I laugh at the game, and take it at face value.

I've been looking for a good dungeon crawl RPG to play, offline preferred with the trip coming up and all.

We're opposite then :)
Given the choice I prefer to complete games offline and as quickly as possible.
I pretty much ignore any games that require online interaction with other people.

Dragon Age: Origins.

It's pretty damn good.

Yeah Dragon Age: Origins is great; Awakening is awesome too if you haven't tried it yet.

I think there is another one coming out later this year as well

Lol, I feel bad for you and Mel next year, having to live in the same house with me while playing NHL 11; I'm a raging psycho

Yeah, I've played all of the Baulder's gate, Icewind Dale, and Morrowind series (and expansions), and hands down, Dragon Age best looking, smoothest playing and has the best combination of rules and party control.

I highly recommend it for anyone who's into the D&D / dungeon crawling genre.

I prefer old-school STR/RPGs with no online component. And side-scrolling shooters. Last two games I played online were WarCraft III on Battle.Net and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 on MSN GamingZone. Yea, that long ago.

I'm constantly getting whatever the new or best RPG or RTS game is...it's a built in excuse for hardware upgrades at least once a year ;)

Not completely relevant, but I've played Freelancer for years off and on. That and Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

I'm not an RPG gamer at all.

But I will spend hours playing FPS and NHL games. I have around 6 days of total playtime online for MW2, and on COD4 I had about 8 days.

In NHL I just play BAP mode, on my third season and trying to win 3 Stanley cups with the Islanders, while also taking home every possible trophy I can win.

Both seasons my team has won a possible 12 trophies out of the 15 or so there.

Bahahaahaahah. 6 days? On COD4? That's it? Come on man. I had a solid month at least. Pssht. And you call yourself a FPS gamer ;)

Just playin man. I've been real into a game called Rising Force: Equilibrium lately; it's a free online MMORPG. The original server was a lot more fun; the new ones have XP multipliers and whatnot, so it's not nearly as time consuming, but the gaming is fun and I enjoy the party system.

I didn't go online until a long time after it came out. And MW2 pisses me off so I don't play it that often.

If I had COD4 when it came out and went online then, it would be well over a month of gaming, but MW2 came out and I stopped playing it.

I'm really not a huge gamer at all.
