Anyone notice how stupid the comment section is in The Buffalo News. It's finally gotten to me lately and I've been venting there. Some posters have similar disagreements with me as some on this board (which is fine), but there are far too many over there that are just plain stupid, juvenile idiots, or possibly literally retarded.

I, as a rule, completely avoid the comments section of The Buffalo News.

I started reading the Sabres section about a year ago and I agree. Oh, how I agree. Every 3rd or 4th comment is the most negative drivel you can find, no matter what the story was about.

Resigning any player: Too much money!!! We're fucked! Fire Darcy!
Signing any player: The only reason they got him is because he's cheap. Why don't we spend any money?! Fire Darcy!
Lose 1 game: Fire Lindy!
Lose 2 games: Fire Lindy and Darcy!
Lose 3 games: Trade Miller and move the team to Oklahoma! This city's too cheap for NHL hockey!
Win 10 games in a row: This is just a fluke. Just a matter of time until we're in 10th place... Fire Darcy!

What's funny is that I just noticed that today. I went searching for an old website and found my freakin' screen name on result number 5. That link was ferret bitching up a storm over my comments about ticket revenue. He only had two others respond to the thread (I think). Either way it certainly wasn't worth my time to read his post, but the morbid curiosity took over. I suppose he's one of the people I keep referring to as "the rioters".

Yeah, ferret and HockeyTruth/OmegaMan/Whatever else he calls himself definitely troll TBN's comments sections too. Ferret refers to them a lot.

Those guys crack me up. I've talked to ferret, and he intentionally tries to rile people up. He's admitted that to me more than once. People wonder why I gave him more leeway when I was modding there, and that's it.

Other than that, they both have this unending fascination with being 'right' all the time. Of course, they won't acknowledge it if they're wrong, but such is. I just don't understand the need to constantly insult EVERYONE. ALL THE TIME. What's the point? I don't agree with a lot of people, but I don't insult them out of hand.

They've apparently only come back to the old boards because that 's the only board left they haven't been banned from, so that's the only place they can post anything. They both were recently banned (again) from HF Boards, that was supposedly their last bastion.

They rail on about how every board sucks because they get banned, but I think they should look in the mirror. Maybe the problem isn't EVERY other hockey board on the planet.
