I'm still glad I had to work that night of the Gold Medal game and missed everything.

I miss all of them, but ETC really did get on my last nerve a few things he would say or bring up. He bitched about pink in professional sports in support of Cancer, and that irked me the wrong way as I had lost someone real close a month earlier to cancer.

It's too bad we have all this teen angst though. I do miss Schony, Howie, Dan, and those guys, but to me, ETC can stay away unless he changed his tune.

no no, ETC had kinda a valid point i thought. everyone focuses on breast cancer. and its a horrible cancer. but where are the prostate cancer awareness games with coloured sticks, or the ovarian cancer awareness games? i understand how dangerous breast cancer is, but why is there so much media on this singular cancer? it should be evened out more.

im cool with pink sticks and pink bats and all that, but if you celebrate one, you should celebrate them all. i dont mean celebrate celebrate. you know what i mean.

It's always bothered me that breast cancer is focused on to the exclusion of other cancers (though I do hear a fair amount about prostate cancer) because it's not the most common cancer (skin, lung, and colon cancers are all more common and, with the exception of most kinds of skin cancer, more lethal). I think that cancer in particular is zeroed in on because it's viewed as a women's health issue, but then heart disease and ovarian cancer are worse. I don't know.

It doesn't bother me at all. If there were no awareness gimmicks when it comes to breast cancer, people would forget about it within months. It would be like a large company deciding to stop advertising because everyone already knows about it; a few weeks later it would be in the beginning stages of bankruptcy. It's just weird that no other cancer gets that kind of attention even though breast cancer is not the most common one (it is second most common in women after skin, though). Personally, I would like awareness for skin cancer to be on par with breast cancer. People are complete idiots when it comes to that. I know so many people, girls especially, between the ages of 16 and 25 who tan constantly and shrug it off... Not only will they look terrible when they are older, but there's a good chance they'll get melanoma as well. Chances go up with every sunburn. Who cares about having tanned skin (and looking really unnatural and ridiculous while you're at it with how dark these girls' skin gets; I'm not talking about normal tans lol) for a few years in your youth.

Seriously, a couple bad apples can spoil the bunch, and that is exactly what it looks like over there. Very little respect. I've disagreed harshly with many people here, on the old boards, etc., but I've rarely lost it. I don't know if I could do that there.

Don't worry, those bad apples would not be tolerated once the appropriate moderation tools are in place.
There's a lot of housework to do over there.
