I wouldn't get ahead of ourselves on this. The key to a larger program of this size is waste disposal. Not the shit plant kind either. There is a massive amount of C & D debris as well as metals, hazardous waste in some cases and so on.

Waste to energy facilities built on a large scale to handle projects such as this is the key. Otherwise we just keep building layered landfills, not a real solution.

Actually, the goal is to dispose of the waste without sending it to a landfill. Send it straight to a waste to energy facility that includes recycling for certain materials. It can be done, I should know.

So don't build a farm, built a factory, make toys, or clothes, or a state-of-the-art hospital. Just fucking build something. I don't remember which of the great presidents after the great depression came up with the make-work program, but it was brilliant (Wilson, FDR maybe?).

The only better plan than the make-work program was WWII, but we're already IN a fucking war. Somehow we screwed the pooch on that one. Probably by fighting an enemy that looks like any other Tom-Dick-and Harry in their native country.

Wars save economies when there is a uniformed enemy fighting for a government. Not now.
