As much as I love technology, I still wish human's would not have industrialized. All we really need on this planet is food. If we were to simply be an agriculture based society, we would not be destroying the world at such a rapid rate, and we would probably be far better suited for survival. The problem is most of us think of "above" other animals, plants, and lifeforms. It's this notion that led us to believe its ok to rape, pillage, and plunder the very planet that gave birth to our very existence. Nature is that hand that feeds, so why are we biting it?

I feel exactly the same way as you do. As nice and convenient as hi-speed technology is and how much it has helped society, it has also really turned our world upside down. I like to wonder what a world would be like without any of the stuff we have. It is really hard, but I think I'm slowly figuring out an idea. I think it's especially because I, like Sneaky, have really taken a step back from technology. My computer is slow as shit so I am hardly ever on it anymore and when I am it's mostly school related, a quick check-up of the news or Sabres happenings, or a glance at facebook. I fell in a pond while my phone was in my pocket so that is fried. It was an iPhone too, so I was always using apps and what not to check everything. In addition, I'm looking for someone to buy my Xbox because it can be addicting playing that when I know I have a shit ton of homework to do.
Ever since I have taken a step back, I feel like my self as a human being is growing a lot more. I don't feel the grip to always be on my computer and know everything which is nice. I love never getting random texts or phone calls, it's so freeing and liberating. Since I no longer have a phone, the only way I can contact people I'm not near is to borrow my friends phone and when I do do that, the only people I ever do call are my parents. And my personal favorite part about my release from technology is the fact that the money I get from my Xbox I'm going to use to buy a bike so I can join the cycling team here at school. I think it's funny how I'm using money from something that made me overweight and lazy to buy something that will make me healthy and active. Anyway, the point of this whole thing is me just saying, like Sneaky again, that when technology does finally crash for whatever reason, I think I'll be a lot better than most people around now. And when it finally does happen, feel free to find the nearest rock phone and give me a call, because I'm gonna be a mountain man living off the land, and if you want to come join my farm commune, feel free as long as your willing to give a helping hand
