I'd suggest the Spy Museum, and thereabouts. I went to the Spy Museum yesterday and it was pretty nifty, though the place is huge. There are also tons of cool places around there. You're right by the Verizon Center where the Caps play (not that that matters this time of year, obviously.) But there's tons of shops and random museums, restaurants (and not just chains), and Chinatown is right nearby. It's actually pretty cool. Yesterday was the first time I really walked around the area. I usually just went there for Caps games and that's it. Note: It's metro accessible, which is super nice.

I'm iffy about the spy museum. Seemed more for the youngsters looking at the advertisements. What's your opinion Ariel?

It's pretty interesting. There are some pretty nifty things inside the museum, and overall I'd say my boyfriend and I enjoyed it. The only problem I had with it was that it was so goddamn long. My feet and back were killing me, so it made the exhibit a little less enjoyable lol. However, if I had worn better shoes it probably would've been better. Keep in mind that I just did the general admissions museum part. There's some other things where you're like a "spy in action" which I have heard was pretty fun, but that part is probably more for the kids. My parents did it, though, and they said it was amusing.

The store was pretty badass though, and you can just go into the store whenever you want, you don't need to enter the museum to do it. There's some pretty cool stuff in there, so if you didn't want to pay for the actual museum but saw something you liked in the store, that's a plus. I mean, quite frankly that's the awesome thing about that area in general. There's tons of little shops and restaurants. I think the American Art Museum is also in that area as well. It's just a awesome place that I never quite realized the awesomeness of until the other day.
