As with Buffalo sports, the local governments are happy with the status quo. If not, they would do whatever they could to get things built instead of throwing up road blocks all the time. Sadly, nothing will ever change in Buffalo and that is why people are leaving the area in droves

(They park in the driveway, when there is a perfect place to park maybe a few meters away, so I can't get out and I piss myself over anger)

its not that they are happy with it... its probably along the lines of they are pocketing a ton of money, they got government jobs for their families... so the hell with everyone else... if the politicians we not making money im sure you'd see some change... its just such a shame, the area can be so much more than it is...

well i guess its better than letting it rot... but they do realize it snows and gets pretty damn cold up there... why not keep the roof and try and use the thing year round? you can still make it an indoor soccer stadium, but maybe do other things with it in the winter....

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New York is sitting on $65 million in unspent money from Uncle Sam.

The taxpayer watchdog group, The Sunlight Foundation, says some of this federal funding dates back 19 years, and includes millions for the Peace Bridge project, Buffalo's waterfront and the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus. Congressman Brian Higgins blames the holdup on bureaucratic red tape.

A bill introduced in Congress last week would rescind any earmarks approved before 2005

How did I get dragged into this?

And for the record, the only projects I get giddy about involve developer Rocco Termini cuz he's the ONLY person in Buffalo who fulfills the promises he makes.

Anyone remember slesh and his initiatives? Yeah; fucked and knocked down by the same red tape.

NYS is more fucked up than a football bat.

No offense Mike, but do you really know all that much about NY State politics that you can honestly say if something is going to get pulled off or not?

It's a good thing you live in DC instead of in Buffalo, cuz it's shit attitudes from citizens like you that keep the status quo in place.
