Yankee, are you with DTV? I can't remember. I had the Ottawa game in HD (as usual with any road game on Center Ice). The Rangers game was also in HD, but I always had the home Rangers game in HD anyway since that's obviously the MSG sponsered team. What was different though, was that both the Rangers and Sabres feeds were available with their respective broadcast team, so that hints to me that I'll get all Sabres home games in HD now. The real test will be the Chicago game.

No, i'm with time warner. I'm living in an apartment at the moment, and they dont allow any sort of dish to be put on the outside of the buildings, so my options are limited to...1.

If the game monday isn't in HD I am going to cancel it and bitch until I get a full refund. I work for comcast, and this is just crap..that they are...casting. I got wonderful 58" plasma to compensate for my small penis, and every feed looks great EXCEPT the non-HD centerice feeds! WTH?!

Well Yankee, if there was ever a reason to move...

Years ago at the last apt I lived in, there were no rules in regard to dishes, but I was extra careful by using C-clamps to attach the DTV dish to my balcony. I asked the apt manager and she was fine with it. A few months later some douche regional guy above her told her to make me take it down. She forwarded the info to me, and I simply made a tripod with 2x4s and set it on the balcony floor.

A few weeks later she told me she looked into the issue and found that apt property groups could not legally forbid dishes from being set up if they don't physically attach to the building with nails, screws, etc. She said I could put the dish back with C-clamps since it wouldn't damage the balcony in any way. I left it as it was just because I appreciated her and didn't want to get her in trouble when the douche visited next time.

It might not be an issue worth fighting for, but if DTV does have Sabres home games in HD from now on, you might want to look into the legalities for your options.

Here are some links on satellite laws...

http://www.myrateplan.com/sat/condos.php

http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html

http://nreionline.com/mag/real_estate_fcc_issues_new/

http://www.directstartv.com/direct-tv-b ... -p115.html

Basically, the FCC says you have the right to install a dish of one meter across or less as long as it's in your private area, and not a common area or roof top.

Tonight's home Sabres game on DirecTV Center Ice, out of market, was in HD. During some commercial breaks and intermission time, there were no commercials, but a big screen saver saying something like "Sabres hockey on MSG".

So yes, all Sabres games are now in HD on DTV Center Ice. I suggest that everybody switch to DTV as soon as possible, and share the anguish with the best picture available.

Yeah, I had 3 options last night. SD for the buff or chic feed, and HD chic feed.

And apprently it's pronounced SUCK-era, (Sekera) with the emphasis HEAVILY on the first syllable. SUCKera.

That's ironic, because he's actually looked ok so far.

Yeah Sekera was one of Buffalo's best skaters last night. That's not much of a compliment though. Let's say he was good last night.

it was awesome in HD

Sekera is very good!! I don't recall watching him play much before this season, so I based my opinion on him largely from what i read on this MB. But now I'm not sure what you guys are smoking, because he is mobile, got hands, and he's not the worst guy on the team at advancing the puck up ice either.

I think the highly touted Rivet has been a lot worse in the early going.

okay, trying to figure something out. First, can't find the Chicago games Saturday on Center Ice....what the fuck? Any help?

Also, what is the deal with no HD feeds from HSBC? If they go with the Buffalo announcers we get SD every time. Is this an MSG thing again or something else?

I have comcast, and it looks like a youtube video on my 46" HDTV. It's almost too painful to watch.

the standard digital feeds are almost unwatchable for me too, there are literally lines all over the place. So disappointing. When I watch non-HD feeds on other channels it's fine, and based on the fact that we are in completely different systems, this is most likely centerices fault and not comcast specifically.

Another option for satellite mounts that don't damage property is a 4x4 in a 5gal bucket filled with sand ;)

for me it's not about damaging property...we're just simply not allowed to set up a dish outside.

Says who? That's like saying you can't have a chair on your porch. Unless you don't have a porch.

Yankee, all those sites I listed earlier explain why you have the right to set up a satellite dish.
