His "talent" is gone. Because he can't beat the defense anymore. He tries to, but he can't move through the defense at all.

He cant beat the defense because he's slow now. He is not nearly as fast as he was back then. Every year when preseason is around, you hear about players who lost weight over the summer, or trained with someone... Did SOMETHING to improve their play. Has anyone ever heard that about Connolly?

All you have to do is go back and watch footage from those seasons to see the difference. 

Anyone who thinks Connolly is trying has forgotten what he has shown he's capable of. 

We all know he's the first one off the ice at practice. What has he done to improve his face-offs?  Nothing. 

This isn't a lack of talent thing. It's there. There's just something wrong with this guy. That or he doesn't care. 




You can't honestly watch that video and tell me he's the same player. He has two black eyes for Christ sake! Maybe Drury punched him twice to keep him going, and Roy was trying to take a page out of that book...

Yeah. Notice how he had trouble when we got further in time. Some concussions ruined him. He can't pull off the moves anymore, and if he does he gets lucky.

Just saying. The guy lost his talent. He can't do what he did anymore.

few things. majority, if not all these clips are from the 2006 playoffs/season. that season, the whole team was something special. nothing ive ever seen. that team had IT.

I realize that he wasn't dominant. I think you're all missing my main point.

My main point is that Timmy has more to bring to the table than he's shown so far this season.
