honest, i learned by pushed myself against the boards and gliding away from them. then working on shifting the weight on your toes to sustain momentum. or skate forward, then flip around. again make sure your weight is on the balls of your feet to so this.

Yea, weight should always be a bit forward, and it's shifting your weight from foot to foot while pushing back a bit, it looks like C's with your skates.

as a goalie, i skate backwards like a goalie. but forwards, im told i look like a defenseman.
