I love my Easton's, the reason why I absolutely hate Bauer skates is because of the "Bauer Blister". The first 10-15 times you wear the skates, you get big time blisters that hurt like a bitch for weeks. I like Easton's because theyre comfortable and a reliable company.

I know what you're talking about. My earlier Bauer skates gave me that problem. But I have a very wide foot.

When I purchased my Supreme 70's, I got a specialty wide size to make sure I got a good fit. I never had blisters.

My feet were sore breaking them in, but I've never worn a brand new skate and not felt some minor pain. It's a regular part of the process.

The Easton skates I owned had very comfortable boots as well. I just don't like the pitch at all. The feel on the ice in my Bauers is superior to the Eastons I owned in sharp turns and transitions.

I dont really know which skates to get soon, the Easton SE16's or the Bauer one95's, I love Eastons, but you guys seem to know a little bit more about Bauer. Tell me more.

Honestly man, try both of them on, whichever one feels better get those.

I'm not going to try and sway you into getting Bauer if you love Eastons that much. I just love everything about my Bauer Vapors, almost, haha.

Have you ever skated on Bauers?

Yeah, they were good, but I could never get used to the feeling on the ice.

Because you're one of the people who prefer the Easton pitch more. And that's fine.

Pitch is a matter of preference, really. My first pair of skates were Bauers. I learned how to skate on that pitch, therefore it only makes sense that I prefer the feel of balance on their skates over Eastons.

Buy the new pair of Eastons. You'll be happy you did.

Yea, I like the pitch of Bauers also. I had some old CCM Externo skates that were way too large for me and went to a Bauer skate and well, it fits great and feels great on the ice.

But stick with Eastons if that's what you are used to. Why change what you wear because of what we say?

Stay away from Easton. Very bad manufacturing and about 30% of the skates come with a bent blade or holder. Grafs are great because every different model they have fits a different type of foot. Skate companies make skates for a "normal" foot. Fact is only 10% of ppl have a "normal" foot. Graf's are heavier but comfier than any other skate. Bauer's are a wider fitting boot(Supreme line more so than the Vapor line) and CCM's/RBK's are narrower. Honestly anything from those 4 companies(Graf Bauer CCM/RBK) will do you just fine. But If I had to reccomend one pair Graf 605's. Good price point and a great skate for the recreational skater.
