This is what I do. I'm an overnight waiter most of the time, but I do some dinners.
The Pros: I only work 3 nights a week generally, and still make enough to pay for my apartment and college.
The Cons: You really start to hate humankind and people in general. I went into this job an optimist and I am generally a pessimist now, at least when it comes to people. I am going to be honest in saying I hate this job more than I have ever hated anything in my life. The good pay for such a small amount of hours is the only thing keeping me coming back.
I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just warning you from my experience as a server. If your someone who doesn't like to work alot of hours and you value your free time over your soul, this is the job for you.

Haha, you're not scaring me... Believe me, I deal with th nastiest people at my job. I've been threatened so many times. It used to sort of rattle me, but I've sort of become immune to it where I don't care. I just don't take shit from people anymore.
I guess the good thing about my job is that I've learned to work under high pressure situations where it's absolutely chaotic busy at times, and I've learned to deal with inconsiderate, rude, and nasty people.
I do like the fact that you get more bang for your buck without working a lot of shifts. At my job I work so much and my paycheck is less than stellar to say the least. At least when you work for tips, you're going home with cash in your pocket.
