This is related to the current discussion, so I'll post it here.

Got this email this morning, was sent to all of us who were mods over there. (Myself, XC, Schony, Icehound, and either Bill_schultz or JimBob. Din't recognize the last email address.)

I guess they don't realize how counterintuitive, ugly, featureless, and lame the current system is.

There are no ways to fix that system.

A full scale replacement is the only way.

I haven't replied...Scott has been told, in detail, on multiple occasions, everything we found lacking in the message boards.

He never did anything about it.

I actually did just reply to him. It was mostly a list of the same things that we've all sent to him multiple times before. Most of it revolves around the suckness of the KickApps platform, which they're clearly stuck with.

I did some looking, and most of the sports teams that use KA don't even use the message board components; they use vBulletin or phpBB.

I was quite frank with him that if they were stuck with the KA platform, they'd never get members to come back, and never see the traffic levels they used to.
