It's a personal choice. If you want to get drunk, cool. That's your business unless you put others in harms way by doing so. (And that includes the emergency services workers that may have to rescue your dumb ass if you do something stupid. )

I was also anti-drinking for much of college. I didn't see the point, and still largely don't. I'm an active person, and therefore do not like my faculties to be impaired in any way. I am also not a fan of pissing every eight seconds.

HOWEVER.


Sometimes, it's just fucking awesome to be wasted and running into shit.

I think I was probably around 13 when my friends and I were playing a little baseball at a local field. We found somebody's stash of hidden cans of beer in the bushes, so we nabbed 'em. Was probably only about 1-2 beers each, so nothing to write home about.

Probably drank enough beer to get a buzz one or two other times as a young teenager, then didn't drink again until I turned 21. Man, that was a great birthday.

Do you believe yet?

I, like everyone, had sips of beers growing up, but my first true drink was probably my trip to Syracuse University when I was 15. My buddy brought me to this apartment and at the time, I thought people just drank straight vodka. I must have downed 3/4 the bottle of absolut that night, and had my first shot of tequila (at the time, so rough)

It was nice being 15 and hanging out with 18-22 year old college girls, a new experience for me atleast.
