ETC - Good news! Glad your daughter is getting better. (I've been there too. When my toddler son was listless, with a 104-105, it was very scary.)

We've already been through some doozy illnesses and ER visits, and #1 son has only just entered teenagehood. Can't wait for what's next.

The boys have erased years from my life, at least a decade or two.

To health, happiness, and the pursuit thereof! Bottoms up!

shame you arnt from here, we have a freezer in the garage just collecting dust. got it 6 years ago, used it for a few years, now nothing. its in great shape and i think we are selling it for under a hundred bucks.

Yeah...I've been stalking craigslist for quite some time to find a chest freezer at a good price. The one I'm picking up tonight I'm getting for $70 so I can't complain.

If you want to get rid of yours, find your local homebrew shop (or homebrew club) and put up an ad for it. You'll have someone wanting to buy it right away I bet.

is it a problem that its a stand up deep freeze, and not a lay down?

Not really. Chest freezers are just the easiest. It doesn't matter if it's a deep freeze, no-frost or whatever because homebrewers modify them with a temperature controller that will make them operate more like a refrigerator.
The only style of fridge or freezer that homebrewers can't use are the side-by-side models because the doors aren't wide enough.
