Dutch film director Jasper Schuringa has been identified as the passenger on flight 253 that jumped over fellow passengers, put a choke-hold on the terrorist piece of shit (who was on fire at the time) that was attempting to bring down the airbus over Detroit.
He then stripped the terrorist to make sure he didn't have any more explosives on his person and helped the crew handcuff him.

Some people have it in them and some don't. It's a good thing Mr. Schuringa did.

Prost!

Good show Jasper, good show.

Jumping over a bunch of seats and getting a guy in a headlock has to be hard enough, but when the dude is on fire? Eich!

No. This is NOT medal of honor material. That being said, an amazing feat nonetheless. Kudos to him.

Well, technically, the Congressional Medal of Honor is only for military members for actions in combat so he wouldn't be eligible.

However, the Presidential Medal of Freedom would be perfect:
Quote:
It recognizes those individuals who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors." The award is not limited to U.S. citizens.

Sounds about right to me.

A toast to Jasper, the keys to the city of Detroit, a virgin a day for a year, infinate miles that never expire, and a statuette of Chuck Norris for his efforts.

The statuette is to remind Mr Schuringa that while he was brave, Chuckie would of turned back the course of time and strip searched him before he light that shit.
