I remember once on the Erie News channel 12 I believe, after some sort of game they interviewed a guy and he said the game was Fucking awesome, then they apologized and cut the mic.

No, this was a fan years ago, probably close to 10 years ago now.

This was well before I became a teenager and had only two channels to watch.
