So I was texting my girlfriend. I wanted to go to the burger joint 'five guys' for lunch.

My original text (unsent)
Quote:
I want five guys for lunch

I then quickly realized what I was about to say, and changed it to
Quote:
I want to go to five guys for lunch

The nuances of the english language...it's all in how you say it. Two similar sentences with VERY different meanings :P

From the movie "Fletch Lives"

Fletch: How about we go grab lunch at the in-n-out burger
Woman: No
Fletch: Ok, how about just the in-n-out?
Woman: groan
Fletch: Ok, how about just the in?

Never heard of Five guys?

They originated in Northern Virginia or Maryland I believe.
IMO they're expanding too quickly.

They have decent burgers but In-n-Out fries are way better ;)

/that should start an argument

Haha yeah I've never heard of Five Guys before, and while I have heard of In-n-Out, I've never eaten there.

I love in-n-out sooooo damn much.

If you order fries, a kid cuts the potato and fries them on the spot for your order.

They've evolved the fast food burger joint down to a singular beauty.

This is the entire menu.

/although their secret menu is larger than the official one

order your fries "animal style" and this is what you get:

basically cheese fries with their burger sauce and grilled onions...must eat with a fork but they're awesome.

You can tell them how to fry your fries....light or well done.

If you order your burger "Protein Style" they replace the bun with a lettuce wrap.

Here's most of the secret menu:

and you can order burgers as tall as you want...2x2, 4x4, 20x20...I've even seen a 100x100 "burger"

You're going to have to wait a while...they just barely made it to Utah a couple years ago.

They're 100% family owned and they don't sell franchises.
