What seats to a hockey game would you rather have?
Most the games I go to I sit in the club level. I like it because you can see everything from a more overhead view but you are still fairly close to the ice.
I've never sat on the glass and I always want to but I'm afraid my vision would be dampered by the glass and that my vision would be obscured way up ice.
Also regular seats are really small and club are more spacious.
Which do you think is better? Club level or right on the glass.
Try to vote only if you've sat in both.

I've never been up at the glass before, but I have enjoyed club level seats before on a couple of occasions. I did, however, watch a preseason game from behind the Sabres bench, and it was a horrible spot to see a game.

Unless you have the option to do it on the cheap or for free, do not sit behind the bench.

Club level for me.
Even with the best glass seats there will be blind spots. Of course it's cool to be up close and personal, but for watching an average game my money is on club level.

I'd suggest you do it once, get it out of your system, and then abandon the idea forever and ever. Unless, ya know, freebies come along :D

Yea that's what i'll do. I sat in 100's one time behind the net, but it was like row 15 or something. And whenever I watch the people behind the goalie, they flinch like everytime a point shot is fired. I'm just glad I won't be seeing a glass game with Spacek still on the team!

Sitting on the glass is an occasionally cool experience, maybe one a season.

Otherwise, I like to sit high in the lower bowl, or in the club seats. (I'm still always down with the rowdy fucks upstairs though. :) )

The 300s are my tribe and I love em. Only issue with the upstairs is the chance of getting a beer shower from a Leafs or Habs fan is increased by 1,000% if their team chokes a lead away. I know this from experience, unfortunately. Four fucking beer showers that night. Goddammitall.

Yes one a season for you. Unfortunately I live in Tampa and only see two away games a year, so it's a much more high-pressured choice. If I went to HSBC like 20 times a season, I would go glass in a heartbeat.

I can afford one club level game a season, or three or four 300 level games. This year I lucked out and got a pair of 217 tickets for Christmas :)

The closest I've ever been was about ten rows from the ice, my head was probably about the top of the glass, I've also sat near the top of the lower bowl a few times, the low upper bowl seats and once in a luxury box.

I'd say the best seats are upper lower bowl basically, you can see everything and are still pretty close.

The Luxury box was really neat also.

My son and I sat on the glass right next to the Sabres bench for one game. It is a great experience and I recommend it for anyone at least once. However, even though you have a great view of one end (and one corner) of the ice, you do find yourself checking the jumbotron screen when things move to the other end.

Still, it is terrific to listen to the players and Lindy communicating with each other during the game. The first game I took my son to was in Tampa before they won the Stanley Cup, so you could buy cheap seats and by the second or third period move right down to the glass. My son was a little guy and liked to put his face right up next to the glass. I told him that wasn't really a good idea and less than a minute after he moved his head there was a hard check right into the glass where he was standing. He got the idea right away.

That is something you don't get on tv.

I've sat at the glass a few times, and it's a lot of fun. Plus, you get a real sense for how fast they're really moving.

Yes, there will be blind spots, but that's what the jumbotron is for.
