The most amusing part is that they waited 7days after they registered to spam this shit.

So, i'm not up on the details of guerrilla marketing...was that a real person who signed up here, and posted that silliness, or was that a bot of some sort who was programmed to set up an account, wait a week, then post this?

If it was a real life person, why would they have chosen the GDT forum?

99% of these things are bots of some sort or another. Basically a PC gets infected with some virus/spyware, and given a list of sites to try and create accounts on. Once they do, they just sit idle until the network that controls the spyware hands them something to post.

The same thing happens for spam email. I think that the last time I ran stats, something like 85% of the spam incoming to our user base (~300k email addresses) came from a spyware infected home PC.

We're lucky this doesn't happen very often here.

Remember when the forums.sabres.com was getting slammed with this crap?

I won't dispute my nerdness.

I'm in the middle though. Like, I enjoy playing Magic from time to time, and even a little D&D with some friends. But, we're not nuts about it, dressing up in costumes and shit. We all still play sports, and go out drinking and stuff, but once in a while we'll bust out our inner dorks and play some nerdy shit.

And I'm practically married Jay, you know that. That means I USED to fuck girls. :p

Now you fuck *girl*.

I've never played D&D, but at one point, I did fuck up some MTG. And Jay - that I fuck girls line was pretty lame

Yeah; NYI You can't take anything I say here overly seriously. In the hockey forums I'd say 85% of the time I'm serious, but when we come into the lounge, I'd say the vast majority of what I say isn't meant to be taken seriously. Especially directed at Squanto, XC, SATW, Phil, and a few others. I've got a fairly dry sense of humor, and I'm really sarcastic.

I'm playing D&D right now, and it's hilarious because none of us have played for years, so we can't remember what we're doing.

But the beer is cold.

I used to play high as fuck and it was THE BEST. None of us ever took anything seriously anyways. Oh man was it fun.
