I thought some of the resident car guys on SabresJunkie might enjoy this. MotoringExposure.com (the website I write for) along with the Jeff Andretti Racing Group LLC and Forza Forged held a track event last Thursday at Palm Beach International Raceway for the World Chariot Racing Association. My boss was in attendance and got to go for a couple hot laps with Jeff Andretti and Kai Goddard in two of the Forza Forged Z06's. Here's a short writeup of the event: www.MotoringExposure.com wrote: MotoringExposure.com along with motorsport partners Jeff Andretti Couching Group and Forza Forged co-hosted an exciting Track Day Event at Palm Beach International Raceway for the World Chariot Racing Association. The event brought together the thrill of high-performance driving with the breathtaking excitement of chariot racing. The select VIPs that were invited had the opportunity to be coached by renowned drivers Jeff Andretti and Kai Goddard on precision driving techniques. After some instruction in pit lane, the VIPs were able to drive their own vehicles on the track for lead follow sessions with Jeff Andretti and Kai Goddard, each driving a Forza Forged Corvette Z06. Andretti and Goddard later gave the VIPs adrenaline-pumping hot laps in both Forza Forged Z06s around the two-mile track for once-in-a-lifetime experience. Once the track events were concluded and tire smoke cleared, the guests were introduced to the Celebrity Farms thoroughbred racehorses as well as the new World Chariot Racing concept. The concept brings together the excitement of harness racing with the sleek and powerful design of a racecar. The exhilarating day of high-performance driving and showcase of stunning chariots concluded with a private dinner party at the track. I think it was a standard wheelbase A8. The guy was a spectator, but my boss convinced him to track it. He said that he ended up having a blast. I remember taking out an A8 and taking a sharp turn rather quickly, and hearing all 4 tires screetch, it was quite the experience. I felt like the Transporter lol. |
