Post subject:  Versus and money
So I pay for the NHL Center Ice Package all year and then playoffs hit. A lot of the games are on Versus which means NHL Center Ice can't carry them.....which means in order to see them I have to upgrade to the Uber Huge Package to get Versus included. Fuck me.

Pisses me off to no end. I pay for a big HDTV, NHL Center Ice, HD service, DVR and then MSG won't allow HD feeds from Buffalo to be aired, games on Versus are a no no too and anytime it's on another network I get to listen to "Over enthused" Emerick or Pierre "Creepy Pants" McGuire......what a rip off. If I didn't go to school every night I'd cheat and watch the games online.

My real gripe is the fact that I can see the San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars in HD on NHL Center ice, but I live in new york, and I have absolutely no way of seeing the Sabres in HD, unless they're on NBC or Versus.

There are a lot of problems with television.

Yup, total bull. I'm not in the NY market and have no way of getting the network that owns rights to the HD games for NY.....so tell me again why I can't see the HD feeds here on Center Ice? How am I taking away from your profits? Screw those corporate cronies.

Oh...yup once in awhile I get the HD feed for the other team but when choosing between listening to some announcers in HD and RJ in standard it's not hard to pick.

They get blacked out for me because I have MSG and MSG HD. The problem is, MSG HD up here never shows the Sabres. It's either the Rangers or the Knicks. And when neither of them are on, it's a lame TV show.

MSG is terrible.

The other night, they had Elton John and Meatloaf specials on MSG HD, and the Flyers/Devils were on MSG+.

Makes perfect sense to have the sporting event on your SECONDARY channel.

The good news is that now that I upgraded to the super duper package I get a bunch of Spanish channels. Apparently the customer service agent thought that was just tits and told me how great it was.

Just be happy you live in a location where your local and basic lineup doesn't read like a Spanish channel package.

Colorado is full of illegals along with a huge Spanish culture. Trust me, it may not be AS bad as LA but this is Mexico City jr.

Eh, I have a hard time complaining about VS. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO (breathe) SOOOOOOO freaking tired of watching regular season NHL games on center ice that SAY "presented in HD" in the corner of the screen, which are actually crap ass SD. Even beloved RJ isnt enough for me to make the switch back to standard definition, I think tonight i'll try and sync up WGR550 and my DVR set to VS.
